All your favorite characters from C. S. Lewis’ classic, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe will be waiting for you in magical land of Narnia at Chapel Rock Children’s Camp this summer. Campers will experience a magical story through imaginative role-playing, games, arts and crafts, music and discussion. Be ready for surprises: funny, scary and amazing happenings, like talking with Fauns and Beavers, eating Turkish Delight and lots more surprises. It will be an adventure you will never ever forget! Chapel Rocks! Youth CampsTake a deep breath and jump into the pool of life: Have a blast and experience God’s love in a real community. Chapel Rocks!’ program is designed to engage you: Questions, discussion, feedback, and participation in worship are what make the Chapel Rock Youth Camp experience so powerful. You can expect the wild and fun “stuff” – games, adventure, group competition and recreation. Even more, you will have the opportunity to experience God, be challenged and be amazed. Camp at Chapel Rock is a blast whether you are a first-timer or have been coming forever. We think that faith in God both makes sense and helps us to make sense of our lives. We believe in three things: fun, friendships, and looking at the questions we all have: Who are we? Why are we here? We ask these questions through the lens of the Episcopal faith tradition. Jesus had some really interesting things to say that may surprise you. You never have to agree with anyone else's beliefs. We don't have all the answers, but we are willing to help you ask questions and discuss issues of faith in normal language.Grades 7-8 & 9-12 Creative LicenseWhat do R.E.M., Star Wars, and Leonardo DaVinci have in common? They’ve all used artistic expression to explore themes of good and evil, the meaning of life, and our relationship to God and others. Flex your creative muscles in a variety of media. Explore your own questions about faith, relationships, commitment, and purpose. From acting, todrawing, to rapping, you may find you have talents you didn’t know you had! Grades 7-8 Ankle Biters Camp (ABC)This camp allows parents and children to enjoy the Chapel Rock experience together! The program will be tailored to help you and your child explore God’s love for us. There will be sessions just for parents, led by our Diocesan Canon for Children’s Ministry, Nancy Shumaker. These will include family devotions, helping kids grow spiritually, and honing your Christian parenting skills. Camp activities will feature hiking, arts and crafts, games, campfires, and more. Counselors with a special gift for our littlest campers will provide leadership and help with bed time so parents can have some time to get to know one another. ABC Camp is a great place to make memories of time spent together in touch with God and His creation. Don’t miss out!5-8 years old
Mini Camp means Maximum Fun! This program is especially designed for first-time campers, and is offered concurrently with our Children’s Camp, allowing newbies to attend the same week as an older sibling. Mini Campers enjoy some of the highlights of our unique camping program: experiencing Jesus’ love in new and exciting ways, hiking and exploring in the out-of-doors, crafts, games, campfires, and so much more! A high counselor to camper ratio means lots of personal attention and care to ward off bouts of homesickness. This is the summer to start your child’s Chapel Rock adventure! |
